I do not understand, how to update it. [CodeCanyon] Update available notification refers me to the download page, but there is no any separate update download. Does it mean that I need to download that plugin again and install it? Sounds complicated. Isn’t there any automatic update tool?

Yes, you can update your plugin automatically, when we updated its major version.
