The last time I gave her anything proper from a jeweller’s was when I proposed, which is over ten years ago now. Since then it’s been flowers, perfume and the odd card. What would be a good thing to choose for her, and where in the UK can I look at interesting pieces?

Have a look at the metal of her engagement ring and wedding band, yellow gold or white, and stick to the same one for the new piece. That way it’ll go with the rings she wears every day, and it won’t clash with anything in her jewellery box. A pendant with a stone that echoes the one in her engagement ring is a nice nod to where it all started.

Studs or a slim pendant fit that bill. Have a look at the Pierre shop for fine jewelry here: https://pierrejewellery.uk/ . There are diamond studs and solitaire pendants in white gold, yellow gold and platinum. A thin chain with a single diamond sits quietly next to a wedding band, and a pair of studs does the same job.
