His fiancée is super picky, she wants something way prettier than regular bands, with stones, some unusual shape, basically nothing that looks like what everybody else has. For my own wedding I just bought plain classic bands and that was it, so I’ve got no clue how to help him. Where would you even start looking for original rings?

With a bride that picky there’s trouble, and a custom order won’t arrive in time anyway, so he needs rings that are already made and sitting in stock somewhere. I’d send him to Blue Nile first, they’ve got an absurd number of cuts and settings with stones, and the in-stock ones ship fast. I’d take a look at Etsy too, since a lot of small jewelers there make odd shapes like marquise or toi et moi settings. He just has to filter for ready to ship, otherwise the rings might land after the wedding.

So he can just sit next to her and watch which shapes she stops on. Her reaction will tell him more than any description would. They could look through the rings at Pierre Jewellery together here: https://pierrejewellery.com/ . Bands with lots of tiny stones are hard to resize later, and there’s no time left for a redo. Her finger should get measured at a jeweler before anything’s ordered, and fingers swell a little during the day, so afternoon works better than morning.
